Universal Studios Pet Policy

 

 

Universal has 4 pet friendly hotels Loews Portofino Bay Hotel, Loews Royal Pacific Resort, Hard rock Hotel, and Loews Sapphire Falls Resort. Pets are allowed with a refundable pet deposit that is paid upon check-in on a credit card. Each hotel offers pet services that include beds for dogs and cats, pet walking and room service options. When leaving their pets alone in the hotel room, guests are required to notify the hotel staff and to secure the pets in a carrier or crate to prevent room damage.

There are many walkways and trails throughout the Universal Studios resort area between the hotels, City Walk and theme parks. Pets are allowed in these areas only when on hotel property. Pets are not allowed to cross to the pathways on City Walk or theme park areas. Each of the Universal Studios resort hotels can furnish guests with a map that identifies the areas where pets are allowed.

 

 

Your Pets Can Stay While You Play

You'll never be too far from your furry friend with Universal Orlando's daytime kennel service for cats and dogs.

Proof of the following vaccinations is required before boarding pets:

Dogs: Rabies, Bordetella and D.H.P.P.
Cats: Rabies, Calicivirus, Panleukopenia and Rhinotrachetitis

All of the shots must be listed along with expiration dates.

Drop your canine or feline off in the morning as early as 8 am, with caring staff available until two hours after park close. Need an extended day? Your pet can stay after hours unattended until 3 am. When you're ready to pick up your pal, simply use the phone located outside of the kennel and a Universal staff member will come by to assist you. Kennel restrictions, dimensions and requirements include:

·         First-come, first-served basis charge of $15.00* per pet, per day–no reservations required or accepted

·         Dogs weighing 39 pounds and more will be boarded in our covered outdoor kennel area with fans for cooling

·         Outdoor pens are 7' x 4' and feature secure fencing and clean cement floors for a safe environment

·         Cats and dogs weighing 38 pounds and less will be boarded in air conditioned indoor kennel 

·         Cozy 3' x 2 1/2' metal kennels include a fenced front for privacy

 

Be sure to bring food, blankets and toys to make your four-legged friend feel at home. While the kennel attendant will supply water and keep things clean, we ask that you plan to return to take your pet for a walk at least once during the day. You'll find a safe environment just minutes away from the action, so you can come back throughout the day to check on your pet, drop off snacks or just have a quick cuddle with your cutie.

Please note that the kennel is for dogs and cats only. No native or exotic species are permitted.

 

Service Dogs

 

An exception to this policy is a service animal, which must wear its service animal identification including a vest or other form of ID. They must remain on a leash or harness and under your control at all times. To help you make an informed decision about your service animal’s safety, each attraction has specific entry and boarding requirements, as well as portable kennels at certain attractions. Walking areas for your service animal are also available at select locations throughout the parks. For more information, please speak with an attendant.
